Capitals fans share excitement as they celebrate Ovechkin's new NHL all-time record

The energy around D.C.'s Capital One Arena on Thursday was filled with excitement as the first home game after Alex Ovechkin broke the National Hockey League's all-time scoring record, previously held by Wayne Gretzky.

Ovechkin was the center of another celebration before his team, the Washington Capitals, took on the Carolina Hurricanes, defeating them 5-4 in overtime.
