WASHINGTON, D.C. (7News) — Low temperatures Thursday morning fell to or below freezing in Gaithersburg, Frederick, Winchester, and through parts of the Shenandoah Valley.
After a chilly/cold start to Thursday, abundant sunshine and much lighter winds will help temperatures climb into the mid to upper 60s, making for a nearly perfect spring day!
There is no threat of frost overnight, with low temperatures only falling into the 40s.

Warmer weather rounds out the week with Friday highs on either side of 80 degrees, thanks to a southerly wind that will increase throughout the day.
Saturday could be one of the warmest days of the year (so far) with temperatures around 85 degrees. An incoming front that will stall to our north will bring us mostly cloudy skies during the day. There is a slight chance for evening rain and storms in our northern and western suburbs.
Sunday also brings warmer temperatures with highs nearing 80 degrees.
