The Washington Commanders announced on Thursday that they have signed wide receiver Michael Gallup. Full terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Gallup (6-1, 198) is a six-year NFL veteran who was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the third round (81st overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft. He has appeared in 86 games, making 67 starts and recording 266 receptions for 3,744 yards and 21 touchdowns.

In 2023, Gallup played in a career-high 17 games and caught 34 passes for 418 yards and two touchdowns. In 2019, he caught a career-high 66 passes for a career-high 1,107 yards and a career-high six receiving touchdowns.

Gallup played college football at Colorado State University for two seasons (2016-17) and two seasons at Butler County Community College (2014-15). During his time at Colorado State, he caught 176 receptions for 2,685 yards and 21 touchdowns. In 2017, he earned consensus All-American honors and became the fourth player from Colorado State to earn that distinction. His senior season he earned first-team All-America honors by Walter Camp, FWAA, Phil Steele and Pro Football Focus. Gallup is the single season record holder for receptions (100 in 2017) in Colorado State history.

A native of Monroe, Georgia, Gallup attended Monroe High School.
