Getting Pumped Up for Round One
Starting Friday, April 18th, fans can begin preparing for Game 1.
On Friday, from 5-7:30 p.m., head down to Union Market for a Capitals playoff pep rally. Here, fans will have the opportunity to create posters, take photographs, enjoy live music from a DJ, participate in giveaways, and interact with mascot Slapshot.
If you want to cheer on the Caps from your front yard, swing by any of the team stores at Capital One Arena or head over to MedStar Capitals IcePlex during normal hours of operation and pick up a Washington Capitals lawn sign while supplies last.
Meanwhile, all attendees of game one against Montreal will receive an LED light stick and a rally towel, while those at game two will also receive a rally towel.
The Canadiens enter the playoffs with a 40-31-11 record, while the Caps are 51-21-9. The Capitals came away with victories in two of the three games this season when they faced off against the Montreal Canadiens. Both of these teams are strong and it should make for a fun and competitive first round.
