MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — Severe weather swept through parts of Montgomery County, Md. on Saturday, leaving some areas with damage and a myriad of cleanup, including downed trees and powerlines, according to first responders.
Some severe weather reports were along Falls Road, between I-270 and Democracy Boulevard in the Rockville-Potomac vicinity.

A large tree snapped and fell on a house on Coldstream Drive in Potomac, according to Pete Piringer with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service.
Piringer said the house was occupied by a family of four when a tree fell into the home. The family and two dogs were displaced, Piringer said.
Elsewhere, roads were closed for damage cleanup, including Wootton Parkway, Piringer tweeted.
Additional damage was discovered on Harmony Lane between Victory and Liberty lanes off of Falls Road in Potomac, Md. Several large trees were downed along with power lines. Harmony Lane was blocked by a large tree and wire.
The city of Gaithersburg, meanwhile, delayed its fireworks until 10 p.m.
At 9:09 p.m., a Flood Warning was issued for parts of Arlington, Fairfax, Montgomery, Prince George's and D.C. until 12 a.m. Sunday. A new Flash Flood Warning was issued Saturday at 10:45 p.m. for central Montgomery County, with an expiration estimated for 2 a.m. Sunday.
