WASHINGTON, D.C. (7News) — Founder Becky Waddell joined Good Morning Washington Thursday to highlight Take Care Shop's seventh birthday as a DC business.
"We started our business because there's constantly pressure in DC to be on the grind and it's incredible what you can achieve here, but at the same time you can burn out," Waddell said. "So, Take Care is all about finding those moments in your day to reset, reconnect with yourself and keep yourself present."
Waddell's Take Care is a curated store and holistic spa, carrying 100% organic small-batch skincare, body care and beauty products.
The shop offers plant-based lifestyle products such as luxurious facial masks, curl control and aromatherapy supplies.
Take Care Shop is also a a spa that provides clients with facials, massages and energetic healing. Facial memberships are available for purchase online.
"We recommend our customers build spa services into their routines, like you would if you were to build a gym membership into your routine," Waddell said. "This truly gives you one hour of the day just for you, that can't be interrupted and is all about pampering."
According to the founder, Take Care is partnering with Three Littles, offering exclusive deals in celebration of seven years as a business in Georgetown.
With her strong passion for wellness and beauty, Waddell prides herself for her selection of cosmetics that are fully vegan, non-toxic, free of synthetic fragrance and minimally preserved.
The shop also owns a wellness center, The Studio, which is available for clients to explore stress management, engage in classes, events or rent for a private session.
The retail shop and spa is located 1338 Wisconsin Ave. NW and the Take Care Studio is on 3144 Dumbarton St. NW.
