WASHINGTON (7News) — Easter is this Sunday and the weather is looking cloudy and warm. Temperatures are forecast to be in the upper 70s to right around 80 degrees.
Since Easter occurs during the spring, Washington has seen its fair share of wild weather for this holiday.
Over the last 50 years, temperatures have ranged from as hot as 95 degrees in 1975 to as cold as 46 degrees in 2007.
Climate change is leading to a global increase in temperatures. According to Climate Central, springtime in DC is the second least impacted by this warming trend, experiencing a temperature increase of ~2.2 degrees since 1970.
