Washington, D.C. (7News) — About 1 in 60 people do not survive a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.
On Friday, Golden Bachelorette star Joan Vassos joined Good Morning Washington to advocate for more research and funding for the disease. She lost her husband to pancreatic cancer and, since then, has become a PurpleStride Ambassador with PanCan.
On April 26th, 60 cities around the country will take part in the PurpleStride Charity walk to celebrate survivors, patients, caregivers, and family who have been affected by the disease.
You can join the fight today. Just head to PanCan.org to learn more.
