WASHINGTON (7News) — I visited Mosaic ES in Fairfax, VA this week for our Lunchbox Weather segment. I taught the students a little about the day in the life of a meteorologist including the different tools we use to survey the atmosphere such as satellite, radar and weather stations.
We then went outside to check out the StormTrak7 vehicle which is outfitted with some weather instruments and of course a roof camera that the kids were able to see themselves on. The second graders were wonderful with plenty of great questions and I wanted to give a big thank you to them and the teachers for having me to your school.
