WHAT IS THE FIRST ALERT WEATHER LUNCHBOX PROGRAM?
Our First Alert Weather Lunchbox Program is an educational opportunity in which one of our six meteorologists will give a presentation to your students. This allows the students to learn first-hand about how the weather works across the DMV, explore various demonstrations and safety tips, see what it’s like to work in a newsroom and on TV! They will even get a chance to see themselves on 7News at 5 p.m. that day, with a special “shout-out” to your school!
SCHOOL SELECTION
Visits are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.
ASSEMBLY TIMES
Mornings work better for us, but we have some flexibility. We can generally facilitate morning or early afternoon visits.
AUDIENCE
We have many requests in a viewing area of 5 million people, so we prefer to present to as many age-appropriate children as possible in a single visit. Our presentations are designed for students in 3rd and 4th grades. We like to do one presentation per visit and can do an assembly with an entire grade level if requested.
PRESENTATION:

We will also be sharing some photos and video of the visit on 7News at 5 p.m. along with your school name mentioned.
