Natalie Spala

Natalie joined 7News in July 2023 as a Sports Reporter.

As a lifelong sports fan, Natalie’s broadcast journey began at WPBN-TV in beautiful Traverse City, Michigan. To this day, the Cherry Capital of the World is still her favorite place on earth!

After two years, Natalie made her way down south to sunny, historic Charleston, South Carolina. Working as a sports and news anchor/reporter, Natalie had the privilege of covering a wide range of sports teams and events. Her favorite? Traveling to Orlando with the College of Charleston during the team’s historic run to the NCAA men’s college basketball tournament. The college basketball season is Natalie’s favorite time of the year!

In her spare time, Natalie loves exploring all Washington D.C. has to offer. She enjoys biking, running, admiring strangers’ dogs, scoping out new places to dine, and of course, taking in a D.C. sporting event!

She was born and raised in Metro Detroit (Go Lions!). She attended the University of Michigan-Dearborn and was a four-year member of the women’s college basketball team.
