    1. Provide the tools necessary for financial security through education

  2. Individual Development Accounts (IDA)
    1. Offered to low and moderate income families and individuals
    2. Financial Goal setting
    3. Creating savings habits
    4. Asset accumulation of first time homes, post secondary education, small business, and computers or vehicle necessary for education or employment.
  3. Earned Income Tax Credits (EITC)/Free Tax Preparation
    1. AARP Tax Aide sites at four locations and various days and times
    2. Over 1 million dollars in refunds received during 2010 tax season
    3. Local organizations offer computers for free online self filing
  4. Bank On Cowlitz County (BOCC)
    1. Engaging unbanked and under banked citizens in safe, affordable traditional financial institution products and services.
    2. Certificate of completion of financial educations workshops provide opportunities for Second Chance Checking accounts
  5. Business Builder
    1. Workshops for small business development
    2. Access to Business Plan counseling and development
    3. IDA to assist eligible small business with start up funds
