The Asset Building Coalition of Thurston County seeks to strengthen an integrated system of community resources that promote opportunities for people with limited incomes to become more financially stable.
Our coalition has the following stated goals:
- Form a seamless, integrated network of providers creating an environment where people with limited incomes can more competently remove their barriers to self-sufficiency.
- Through collaboration, providers will conserve resources through more efficient referrals, improve their capacity to problem solve, reduce duplication and more competently prepare for funding opportunities.
- Support the United Way of Thurston County in their efforts to coordinate free tax preparation sites and increase the number of low income people receiving tax assistance and collecting the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).
