WASHINGTON (7News) — Though peak bloom for the cherry blossoms happened last weekend, there is still a lot of cherry blossom-related events happening in D.C. this weekend, including the 10-mile run on Sunday.
The Cherry Blossom 10-mile run, which starts at 7:30 a.m., will impact traffic, parking and metro operations.

The following streets will be closed by D.C. Police to vehicle traffic from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Sunday:

D.C.’s Metrorail will open at 5 a.m. on Sunday and lines will run as normal, despite the early start time.
Attendees of the run can arrive closer to the starting line by taking the blue, orange and silver lines to the Smithsonian, Federal Triangle, or L’Enfant Plaza metro stations, according to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA).
WMATA warned that the Smithsonian station may have crowds, and that the Federal Triangle station is a 12-minute walk to the start line and the L’Enfant Plaza a 19-minute walk.
The race is expected to draw more than 17,000 runners, along with thousands more coming to spectate this spring event.
